Skill Development Centers Giving Bihar's Youth a Brighter Future

Introduction
Bihar has one of India's youngest populations, but also one of its highest youth unemployment rates. Millions of young men and women are eager to work but lack the skills that today's economy demands. Our skill development centers offer free, job-ready training in trades including tailoring, electronics repair, mobile servicing, computer literacy, and beauty and wellness — giving youth aged 18–30 a genuine path to employment and entrepreneurship without leaving their communities.
Impact of the Cause
Since opening our first center in 2021, we have trained over 4,500 youth across 8 districts of Bihar. Our placement rate stands at 71%, with graduates finding employment in local markets, setting up small businesses, or taking on remote work in digital trades. Average monthly income of trained graduates is ₹8,500 — nearly three times the pre-training average. Female enrollment has grown from 28% in Year 1 to 61% today, reflecting increasing community trust in our program. Twelve graduates have started their own micro-enterprises, collectively employing 38 additional people.
How Your Donations Work
Training skilled youth requires modern tools and dedicated instructors. ₹1,500 covers one student's complete 3-month training material kit. ₹6,000 funds one student's full training program including tools, materials, and certification. ₹25,000 sponsors an entire batch of 20 students for one week of intensive hands-on training. Centers are equipped with real industry tools — not outdated equipment — because we believe Bihar's youth deserve the same quality of training as anyone in a metropolitan city. Trainers are industry professionals with minimum 5 years of field experience.
Transparency and Accountability
We track every graduate's employment status at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year post-training. These outcomes are independently verified and published in our annual impact report. Financial accounts are audited by a ICAI-registered firm and submitted to our board quarterly. We are affiliated with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and our certificates are nationally recognized by industry partners. Donors receive a personalized update on the batch of students their donation supported, including photos and placement outcomes.
